Purple and Green
Wings that carry
The owner of them
Over the trees
Wings red and black
Carry their owner
Over feilds
Of blooming flowers
Wings grey and black
Carry rain and snow
Over lands
Dotted with towns
Wings that float
Over the blue sky
Wings that bring
Snow, Hail, and Rain
Wings of clouds
Wings of the sun
Wings of animals
Birds, butterflies, and moth's
Wings that I own
When I am flying
Through books
Or flying through the clouds
Wings that I own
When I am sitting
In my chair
Or laying in my bed
Wings that lift me up

I think this is a very well written piece. and though you speak of wings and butterflies, it doesnt really go with the butterfly effect theme... (my opinion).
I still think it was a lovely poem,
