The warm air floated over us like a shield
as we lay side by side
in my favorite field
I looked over at you
you were staring up at the stars in the sky
just like I've always wanted to
but me?
I was counting the stars in your eyes
Beautiful blue like the summer skies
with lights that dance
and make me fall deeper in at every glance
Oh how I love counting the stars in your eyes
I look up at you and I sigh
as we stand alone in my drive way
we say good bye
then we both glance up
