[ Her nail polish was chipped ]

Her nail polish was chipped
As she gripped the neck of the guitar
There were ashes in her heart
From the many nights she'd burned
To play on stage and be a star
Little did she know that she would find
Both fame and infamy:
When she dressed for the stage that night
She put on her tight pants
But left her shirt behind
When she stood
Underneath the blinding lights
There were cricket chirps for a moment
Then whistles at the sight
She paused for a moment
Feeling cold air against her chest
Then whispered "The show must..."
Well, you should know the rest
Instead of playing trite tunes
As she had planned to do,
She played her heart out:
Revealing all her dark emotion.
There seemed to be little danger
Since she'd already been exposed
The audience loved this
This refreshing honesty
Not all sugar-sweet love songs
Or "He broke up with me!"
The audience cheered her
And threw flowers at her feet
And when she woke up
And realized it had all been a dream
That she didn't know how to play guitar
And she could barely sing
She made sure to put her shirt on
Before she walked out the door
And then went out and said all the things
She'd never dared to say before

Please tell me what you think

I love this write that reminds us Being Exposed, can be very Reveling, letting us see that what we feared was actually all we wished for.
