No person Is your friend who keeps you blind
I found you hunched and shivering on the ground
You had come down at dusk, from windless hills
Your darkness, not mine for the taking, But ...
Let me show you ..
Firey sunsets, with deep reds and purples,
fading slowly to a black velvet softness
Stars, appearing like flickering fireflies dancing
to the white flame of the moon
Let me take you to lush green fields where you can
Inhale the musky aromas of rose and wild jasmine
Then feel the early morning dew, as It glistens around you
You can watch the swirling mists gliding over still lakes
as smoke rings of color dance across shadows
Don't let them close your eyes to this beauty
Because your eyes, your eyes remember everything.

Wonderful!
I really like the powerful images you managed to invoke in my brain. Wonderful sights and sounds; you involved colors and visuals too (Thought: does this pose a problem if the reader is blind though? Well, maybe not if blinded later in life?). Outside of my questions, this is a remarkable piece that is rich in framing a sense-ful tale (to me).

Very nice. This kind of poem should waken even a dead man to the beauty that surrounds him.
