Tears.
I spent decades trying to summon the heart
to walk towards the rainbow;
to lightly caress the sky-bound art
then reap my reward from below.
The lush blends from shade to shade
seem like beauty at first glance,
but time proves it a masquerade
by the devil and his lance.
I rolled under the disguise
meeting only heavy rain:
God's tears stinging my eyes
as he cries for
my misfortunes.
