I left my heart in a piece of you
and I am writing for you to send it back
I will even return address it
and write fragile on the box
I will pay the delivery charge
and I will kindly wait by the mail
I know it could take weeks or months
but please just send it back here
The post man doesn't visit on sunday
I'm sure you already know
so send it on a weekday
one that doesn't follow much snow
You see I can't love again
until you mail me back what I lost
I long to have what is mine
I think you have used it long enough
I wish I could say the mail would fix all of our troubles
but see mail just doesn't work that way
so be sure to post mark it urgent
I will glady pay you all expenses
if it comes back in one piece
but I'm just not sure that would happen
as the delivery men toss it around like it's dirt cheap
It would be nice to find a suprise with it
may be a piece of you as well
but I'm not sure I would want to remember everything
I miss so dear
I can't believe it is over
and if it were as easy as this
I would just mail back your memories
in a letter and sealed with a stamp
I just want you to know
I miss you and want you to come back home
safe in my heart
sealed with a stamp
and all the pieces in the envelope where they belong.

Emotions of sadness
This is the third poem of yours I've read and I'm impressed thus far, this is another fine write, emotions of sadness and suffering, a heart that longs to be returned by post, now that's original. Well penned and just would like to say thank you for reading and commenting on my "HM" poem.

emotional and deep, you had me reaching for the tissues... a wonderful piece written with emotions of despair and hopless longing.. I loved every word especially the line 'I will just mail back your memories'... wow what a killer line! Im gonna read it again! love and light RF
