Shattered all around
Each image looking back
Each one a different memory
Large, small, cracked and worn
The thoughts begin to consume
Losing oneself to them
Alone and afraid with no where to turn
Something so broken
Sifting through it all
Trying to find beauty
The broken pieces laying there
When it hits me
The beauty is in the broken
A life turned from where one has been
To where one was supposed to be
Through the unknown
Author notes
Ai it is true, to have come through so much to be where one was supposed to be. To look back and see the chaos from where we came to look forward to the future of where we are going. Knowing there is much left to experience. Seeing much left of life to be shattered. But hold true to yourself, hold true to God and no matter what happens, no matter what hell comes your direction just remember "as long as your still going, it's still a good day"

"Where you have been makes you who you are, and who you are is beautiful." ~my boyfriend.
This fits that exactly. And I agree. Thank you.
