The snow outside blows harsh and screaming
yet I sit here with my temperature reaming
My emotions have gone in to a whirl
I chase them back and forth just like a squirrel
I scream and cry and laugh at once
my hubby thinks I've become a putz
No longer hot I am shivering madly,
almost longing for the sweats again, sadly
I yell at the t.v. for being insane
while my kids think MY sanity no longer remains!
Then I cry for a stupid commercial that's on
I truly wish this mess was gone!
I wanted this to happen most of my adult days
I truly didn't understand the craziness of it's ways
Mother Nature, please retract your claws,
I no longer wish for menopause!

LOL, Welcome back! And in great form! They do end, but it takes quite some time. My mother went through early menopause at 36 and she still has hot flashes, but rarely. It gets less and less as the years pass. Wonderful write my dear friend. I've missed you greatly!

lol my mom went through this and believe me, it isn't fair for those around it either LOL! Mood swings galore and always restless with hot flashes! Thank God it's over for her. I along with others have soooo much to look forward to!!! Great depiction of what menopause possess and good luck in the contest!
