World is Crying

The world is crying today
The clouds are depressing
The wind is chilly
Leaving my cheeks flushed,
Body freezing and tainted

In my car, the tears fall,
To my windshield
They are quickly wiped away
Before anyone notices
Yet, the trail left behind
Is completely visible

When I start to speed up
The tears begin to cascade
And I am alone
Like always
And no one reaches out
So I fall again.
