Michael is a man dedicated:
In his words, truth is predicated,
Caring for one and all, great and small.
Hope, faith and charity are his creed;
Alas, he was condemned for good deeds,
Even though saving souls was his goal.
Lest they fall, he continues on, bold.
In the sand, he drew a heavy line;
one side: infinite, powerful mind;
the other loud and a big dark cloud.
Michael is a man dedicated:
all his words are truth predicated.
In leading just one to pearly gates
means in heaven, he will be called great.
Rest is not for now, he surely knows:
Oh, weary he is yet on he goes.
Winds of strife he battles for your life,
Determined to save at least just one:
Even… if under an evil gun.
Now, he knows, is not the time to stop…

Oh, BQ!!! This is so beautiful...& yes, most certainly, Michael...em, our Friend, deserves such a lovely, loving tribute...I don't know what happened...re: '...Alas, he was condemned for good deeds...' Whatever happened, knowing em, it was an unjust accusation...I say that in good Faith, for I know he is a Good Man...a Wise Poet...a Loving Human Being...I am quite sure he was thrilled with this wonderful tribute of yours...what a good Friend you are to him...I am so glad to know that he has such staunch support as yours...he also has mine...although I haven't known him that long or that well, I KNOW he is a Man of Integrity...a Poet with a very Grand Heart...an American to be proud of...& a Friend to all that need only accept his generosity of Spirit...Although I don't 'KNOW' either of you in the 'traditional' sense, I can honestly, truly & sincerely say...I Love You Both!!! Breathtaking writing...I am just sitting and reading this over and over again...what a tribute...the flow is like an ebb tide and the meter just sets the pace..carefully crafted and not a wasted word...nothing other than a ...look above

What a wonderful job on this tribute and contest poem. You made me feel, I knew this person personally. Now, so curious I can not stand it. I will read his work! Terrific writing and good luck in the contest1 I see the man you wwrite about is one I need to met at AP. Many days, I seek out those who uplift my spirit and soul. Special words for a special man. Beautiful, loving tribute and I can see by his comments how it affected him. Usually, people like Michael don't even realise what a difference they make to others lives.

Gosh, Bonnie... This writer is hereby struck speechless and is feeling totally unworthy of these cherished words you have penned. In the deepest spirit of humility, I am truly honored and I seem to feel so small all of a sudden... You have a sparkling beauty that springs from an everflowing well of Love.
