Legion

I kill because of killers.

Killers botch and never kill
Killers butcher and never thrill
Killers act but never feel
Destroy and never create;

Hacking, slashing, stabbing, gunning,
Sawing, gnawing, feeling, grabbing,
choking, punching,
Fucking, Sucking;

KILLING.

Such brutality where beauty should be.

I am a poet of blood
A swimmer in crowds of life
A vessel of the holy divine
Nature where
the bear tears the fish guts
and skillfully slices the gullet

That's me,
a force of nature.
Ahhh, and the Gilles de Rais
and his alibi
were so harsh and cruel
and not so artful.

ah, but I---

Here.
Take Jane.
Take lovely, wonderful Jane
With her chestnut hair and plump breasts
Her fallow skin and all the rest
Her thick thighs and motherly eyes
Her freckled nose and everything she knows
All the books she reads, no dirty magazines
Only innocence and ignorance
Mother nature and Goose
But yet so loose (because that's just the way
Some girls are built.)

I took Jane.
I locked her up
and tied her down
And clamped her feet to the ground.
I unsheathed a sickle and watched her cry
I wasn't about to let her die
She was naked, I do concede,
but fucking her would let her win;
she plays the game to make me sin
But I am above and beyond
Transcended, and fond
of her form, her figure
The sum of all the parts
With the sickle I sliced the skin
above her brows

the blood dripped down
into her eyes
and she did cry beatiful tears
mixing, meddling, clear and crimson
beauty, symmetry, two colors at once
and I had just started.

I sipped my absinthe.

I hushed her up
Told her I respected her
"I won't fuck you
I love you, girl.
Like all of your curves
and the girls on the sidewalks playing hopscotch."

I painted paintings in her blood
Sliced her delicately and stroked her softly
This is the way it has to be.
Skillfully.
This is the way it should be done.

Then I cut her mouth in a perpetual smile
(she appreciates the art she has become)
and gutted her stomach
and put her organs in glass jars.
Preserved.
Reserved for culinary.

I will go forth once again
And find another;
I am overwhelmed
by infinite beauty.

Author notes

Legion: "We are one, but many."

Before Dexter or Suspect Zero ever came out, I thought to myself as a little kid about serial killers, specifically ones that killed other serial killers. Well, I didn't go with that idea exactly, but I did however take that same animosity and transform it into the idea of a serial killer who tries to make art out of his killings, especially because he feels there is beauty to be made in that area. He considers himself a Michelangelo of sorts, chiseling David out of stone, yet he sees each one of his potential victims as unveiled art (all female, because it is there form which he considers to be the ultimate beauty, the one most in touch with nature). But he also kills because he is unsatisfied with the brutality at which other killers kill (like the clumsy Happy Face Killer,) and he wants to rectify murder as an art form.

This poem should probably be read twice to understand all of the tacit reasoning which goes into "Legion"'s so-called logic.

Now HERE is someone who did it the right way. . . well, at least according to "Legion"'s standards:

Absolutely phenominal writing here. Loved the story-telling as well. I think this would make one hell of a series.

sorry it took a while to put those links up; i also have some about the likes of Albert Fish and Elizabeth Bathory. Incidentally, if you look at the first note which Fish wrote that is displayed on the Wikipedia page---I actually saw the original copy of that up close and personal! My face was actually about six inches from it, separated by Plexiglas.

    Ha!

This was AWESOME! I actually really enjoyed this.....now, the happy faced killer....i'm trying to remember. I've done sooooo many extensive research on different serial killers, they all kind of become jumbled. Wasn't he the one who wrote on his victims mirror in lipstick? Didn't he also write a note saying "catch me before i kill again," or something like that? I could go look it up, but i'm wayyyy to fuckin lazy. haha
