Autumn Leaves

Autumn leaves bespeck the trees
Now fluttering in the chilly air.
While trying to flee like summer bees;
Ever frustrated, getting nowhere.
Rarely do we hear their pleas
Yet I feel them everywhere.

Now, like chicks, they are transfixed
With escaping the steadfast helm
Held by Mother's tricks, which are intermixed
Delicately with vines of dreams and elm.
Yet their brothers lay on many bricks
To ring in the wintry realm.

All from elder limbs they blow,
Lavishly painting the ground below.

Author notes

EDITED!!!!!

I hope it is up to par! Wow, what a challenge! Seriously...

Just a reflection on the beauty of autumn leaves. I was staring at the tree outside my window thinking "See how the leaves flutter frantically? They're like baby birds trying to get free of the nest." And I went from there. I'm always excited to try new forms, as they tend to wrench me free from my writers' block. And I think it may have done the trick.

Please refer to the rules of Harrisham Sonnet form.
Along with the rhyming scheme, you also have to apply one more thing:

For each of the stanzas, the last letter of the first word of each line is the first letter of the first word of the next line.
There is no restriction on the starting letter of the first line in each of the stanzas.

You may read the example poem given in the contest to understand it better.

    Please rectify your poem.
I will come back to comment.
