I put my heart on a silver platter for you -
I put it there for you to hold,
to touch.
[I didn't say
you could bruise it.]
And the worst part is knowing
that you were lying all along...
And I didn't know it.
Author notes
The strangest part is...
It doesn't mean
what you think it does.

a great poem
that speaks of a very common thing, I believe
Some people, unfortunately,
are really good at lying.
And the bad part about it is, they know it and don't care. -

Thank you - It does seem to be something that happens a lot
I've met only too many people like that.

this is a great poem, but using two forms of the word "know" in one short stanza is too muck knowing and not enough thinking, i suggest changing: "And the worst part is knowing/that you were lying all along.../And I didn't know it." to "And the worst part WAS REALIZING/that you were lying all along.../And I didn't know it." or if you wanted to keep it in present tense: "And the worst part is knowing/that you were lying all along.../And I didn't SEE it." (words in caps are mine. you can use them!) i don't know if this fits your idea, since it doesnt mean what i think it does, but that's for you to decide.
luv,
lovey
