Colours Ending ( Bronze )

Setting the beauty of this day to rest

under-footing, crisp frost lay

coolness, our breath exhaled

smokey air.

Where the moon met the sun

crossing paths

casting shadows

illuminating dusk befallen.

I shuddered...

Stillness

silence eerie

rustles of the once dancing branches

failed their movement

Artist canvas skies

brush stroked

wavy wisps pepper the clouds

backdrop clusters lilac

painting petals fragrance sickly sweet

I absorb the aroma..

Frame by frame image captured in sight

ever changing

In awe

I gasp

grasping the moment

before the memory's start fading...

my twilight

my end...

    GRASPING THE MOMENT, INDEED!

I could see all the colors and hear the rustling of the fallen leaves that were just blossoms on the branches of the trees not so very long ago. Thanks for sharing this with me, Julie - and good luck in the contest, Baby!
    Love & Peace!
    Earl.
