I love you,
the words were typed,
black on white,
sealed in that envelope,
sealed up tight.
The letter,
adorned with a key,
the one to my heart,
printed right below it,
the life changing words.
The envelope,
decorated with Sharpie,
red wine wax in a heart,
to show this feeling,
eating me.
It is slipped,
into your locker,
by my closest friend,
unable to be stolen back,
my feelings exposed.
Only forteen,
but so intoxicated by you,
so much to tell you,
wanting to take it back,
but it's locked up.
You tell me that night,
of a myseterious letter,
from an unknown lover,
and I want to cry,
I love you.
But I'm so afraid,
wanting to take it back,
you never will and never have,
so keeping my mouth shut,
is all I have.
This eternal secret,
you will never know,
it was me,
it always has been me,
loving you from afar.
That stupid letter,
placed in your locker long ago,
filling me with regret,
I wish it was never sent,
but it can never be stolen back.
