The Awakening

She wakes to the beautiful sunrise,

only to find darkness surrounding her.

Like a rose she blossoms and grows,

longing for the sun to embrace her soul.

To bring her everlasting life upon this earth.

I liked reading this. I find it to be very descriptive in meaning and on a level with which most or at least I could identify with. Good luck in the contest!

This is very evocative, I'm not sure exactly what it's about but it's beautiful.
