It's all about control and me

OCD
It doesn't stand for
Optimus-Prime Considering Divorce
or
Octopi Call Dolphins
It means me.
Plain and simple.
So,
please do everything in your power
not
to ruin my day
by following these spartan rules:
DO NOT change my well laid plans
DO NOT push fate in my direction
(not even a little gust)
Try to remember I'm in charge
Try to remember the script
(every stinkin' line)

Afterall,
I like to know where articles are boxed
so I tend to do things myself.

Besides, who needs doctors?

Author notes

I am obsessed with controlling my fate and what happens to me. I don't mind so much you but definitely me. I've never desired to control people but I guess in a way it would be the same thing...because in order for everything to go my way...I'd have to control people so they wouldn't disrupt my plans. I'm a strange duck.

Reaches in room, turns light switch on/off three times, spins around once, clockwise, then twice counter clockwise, hops on one foot, recites the alphabet in a sing song voice, puts hands in pockets, and says qietly "not to day Mr. Meany, not today" and washes hands in warm water, no soap, now I can comment on this piece. Liked it! Geo

    Great expression of OCD.

You presented this idea in a really interesting way.

This write reminded me of the movie "As good as it gets," with Jack Nicholson. Good write on "the rules".
My friend has OCD something fierce and has his own list of rules and regulations. Strange, but then, it takes all kinds. Very entertaining! Thanks for entering! All the best to you and yours.

i have an OCD too, not too severe, and i like that you were able to write about it, cause i can't write about mine, just for irony's sake tho the n - o - t on different lines is something that makes my OCD senses tingle, but great poem none the less best of luck with the contest
