Child of the sands
left behind by time
has no words to speak
eyes say all in mime
Crime of the centuries
a never ending plight
a child born upon one Earth
has no future in sight
This scene is everywhere
don’t dare to close your eyes
for wherever you may live
they exist through all your lies
Go ahead and turn away
like so many have before you
as you live in your luxury
some one else wears your shoe
Pretend it is continental
and that it could not happen here
with a mouth swollen of food
you can’t hide your ugly fear
Wake up and smell the roses
they’re living in your streets
not asking for any excuses
in a world that’s filled with cheats
