Thank you Veterans

These Veterans have helped us,
through good and bad.

Fighting for their country,
no matter how hard.

Leaving there homes,
family, and friends.

Sacrificing there lives,

for us.

In return,

nothing.

So I thank these brave souls for

protecting us all.

Lord Protect them as they serve our country.

I think you did an amazing job. People don't understand how important veterans are and how they risk their lives for our country and for our freedom. You captured the importance and made it into a wonderful poem. Great job and good luck in the contest!!

Very good. I was thinking about this subject while reading the newspaper today, and there was an article about a compassion drive for the local veterans. It truly is such a shame that people can be so careless and absent-minded --for lack of better words-- that they don't appreciate what the veterans have done for us. It's sick to see one side of America saying "the land of the free" but no one ever seems to say "because of the brave" and stop to appreciate those who gave their lives for us. This is truly a subject that needs more serious light drawn upon it, and you bring out that point well. Nice job.
