The anthill is busy today,
teeming with bodies moving.
They have just avoided
catastrophe.
A walking foot just missed
and they know it.
It's a precarious life,
the life of ants.
No matter how strong
they build the hill.

Great wordchoice and I like this pithy write - it is so true; I always feel guilty if I disturb one somehow. Always watched these with fascination as a child.

You really did a great job on this prompt. One would not think an anthill wold be so interesting but I agree they are fascination creatures and this a great little poem
