I caught your glimpse from afar
In the setting sun and early star;
Ventured forth to climb your rigid face,
felt the fear of falling from your grace.
You spoke to me in an ageless voice,
echoes softly reducing all human choice;
those incidental moments of little consequence;
awkward dancers in the light of sheer eloquence.
Though time has placed distance between you and I
parting cannot diminish the memory of your azure sky;
as the light by which I judge my fellow man
shines forever upon paths that travel your land.
