I count my many blessings, I name them one by one,
I count all of my blessings, I see what God has done,
He blessed me greatly, when he made your smile,
I could sit and stare for the longest while,
He made your eyes, so deep and blue,
Those eyes for me are always true,
He made your hair a fiery red,
To increase your grace, and crown thy head,
He made your hands, so soft, so smooth,
All pains of self and soul to soothe,
Sculpted your form with expert finesse,
So stunningly perfect words cannot express.
I count my blessings, name them one by one,
I named these few, but I have barely begun.
Your physical features are little compared
To your spiritual side that has me ensnared,
Your love and your care leaves me astounded,
They have no limits, are free and unbounded,
This love that provides me with strength forge on,
Even when all other sources are gone,
You care for me in every way,
You stand beside me every day,
You give yourself withholding naught,
Your spirit with skill and love was wrought,
And all it seems was put there for me,
A blessing in truth, God's mercy indeed.
Though the greatest by far is the love that you give,
Love I can return, it is for love that I live.
I count all of my blessings, an endless line,
You are right at the top, a blessing divine.
