Circling the drain,
caught in a tidal wave
of dark truth as illusion
gently simmers below,
pulling me down,
engulfing me
in its comfort and safety.
I can’t let it go...
Not yet… Please…
I beg of you…
I so desperately need
its softly spoken lies
to sedate the darkness within
and better the man
I become…
My Deity of sublime
Perfection…
My dream, my love…
Whose journey
so impossibly
mirrors my own…
Whose very essence
fills my head,
calming my demons,
warming my heart,
with tears and laughter,
I’d forgotten how to feel…
She ignites my mind,
sparking my muse
in a blaze of exquisite writes…
She inspires my soul,
beyond word or thought…
And truly,
I know I’m grasping
an impossible dream,
but its my dream
and dream I shall…
Please don’t take it
away from me,
I need it so very much…
Circling the drain,

submergence
brings…
