The beginning of a new day,
A new life,
The beginning of tomorrow
and perhaps all of my tomorrows
Sitting on the dock with you,
Dangling our lines in the water,
Eagerly awaiting that first nibble,
Will it be a fish or you?
The morning still has a slight chill
so I snuggle closer to you,
Never have I felt such peace,
My cares washed away by water which feels almost holy
The mountains seem to sing us a lullaby,
I could fall asleep here as the day warms,
So comfortable in your arms,
Feeling your body heat against mine
I almost wish someone would come along,
Take a picture of the two of us together here,
But I suppose that would ruin this moment,
You could never capture what we feel here
and it will always remain in my heart
