In Praise of Her Words

Borne past the gates of perdition,
came wondrous words from her quill.
Stepped through the trellis of heaven,
with diaphanous thoughts and skill.
She entered a world that was cold
with the strength of a heart so bold.
Blessed with the grace of a feather,
she weaves her verses together.
Sue Cardwell was part of the plan
sent here to pen on her pages,
sweet verses to last for ages
and bestow her blessings to man.
So warm your heart with the fire
from this poetess of desire.

Author notes

Dedicated to AP poetess Sue Cardwell.

Pushkin sonnet:
Sometimes described as a "mettlesome creature" is (almost wholly) written in verses of iambic tetrameter with the rhyme scheme "aBaBccDDeFFeGG", where the lowercase letters represent feminine rhymes (i.e., stressed on the penultimate syllable) and the uppercase representing masculine rhymes (on the final syllable).

A beautiful read, and a wonderful heartfelt tribute. The imagery of this is quite warm and bright, an intreaguing form of sonnet.

diaphanous must be your word of the day. I've read it in two poems and had to check the dictionary.
Wonderful tribute. Flowed beautifully. Again you are displaying such talent.
