To the friends I've loved and knownc,
To the folks with whom I've grown,
To all wise minds fromw hich I've learned,
To old flames, with whom passion burned,
To those with whom I've fought and lost,
To those that never knew the cost,
To those who offered me their hand,
To those who always understand.
To all whose tears and laughs I've shared,
To anyone who ever cared,
To those I liked but never knew,
To those who've yet to come to view,
To each and every one of you.....
You've helped to make me who I am today,
A gift which words could not repay.
I sent warm wishes without bdinging strings,
That you find love like this, in all that life brings.

I wrote this on my phone on the 26th October 2008, and saved it there as a draft, waiting to put it on my computer when I thought of it. This contest seemed to suit it well

a good piece here though you might want to look at that first verse and do a little editing, sometimes it takes a fresh pair of eyes to spot such things.

this is a great poem , it is an easy read with a flowing rhyme, and a lovely dedication to those to you care about, you made me think that maybe i should call all my friends up and buy a big bottle of wine.
