This moving treasure in your body
Might be just one in many millions
But it's the altar of your offering
You will give life
This smiling infant in the garden
Takes little space between the daisies
But in your world it will take over
You will give care
This teenage sulking, clumsy figure
Has some spots, and a dirty tee-shirt
But to you it is beauty's sun
You will give love
When you are tired, and maybe dizzy
your child will come to bring you water
But it will bring you so much more
You will get love
When work is difficult and empty
your child will fill the house with laughter
But also fill your heart with light
You will get care
When years go by so fast you get lost
your child will bring to you its own child
But also joy's tears to your eyes
You will get life
