Mist rises from the lake
To skirt the base of rolling hills
Tops kissed by morning sun
Sky and water meld into one
Somewhere across the way
A loon's lonely song is sung
Her tremolos tremble through the air
"He's not there, no he's not there"
Clouds building in the west
Promise rain, I peer across the dock again
But he's not there, no he's not there
Fall permerates the air
And I'm in pain
I walk along the shore skipping stones
Waching geese in v's fly south across the sky
Seems like we're done
But I'm not sure why
Seasons come and seasons go
Change riding on the shifting tides
I wish I may I wish I might
But I can't control the ride

Beautiful write with a sadly lonely undertone. Very nicely crafted. Thank you for entering the contest.
