Flowing, swishing, scratching and redoing
I let out a war cry just as loud and as painful as life
Painting is like poetry except faster and more infuriating
I can’t believe I’m doing this again; this is worse than my knife
It’s just a piece of paper and a bit of paint
And yet by the end of the day
I’m missing chunks of my hair,
And I’m screaming everything I say
There are tears running down my face
The cat’s screeching for a feeding
And the gouges on my arms
Are now furiously bleeding
I’ve told myself many times
It’s only a little paint
And yet I’m smacking my head against the wall
And holding my breath until I faint
It’s so unnecessary
So stupid and pointless
It’s another form of love
And the end is so worth it
I yearn for the feeling I get
With that last swish of my brush
Fixing the final mistakes and the last of the bumps
Holding it up to the light
Makes up ten fold for the missing chunks
Finally finishing my disaster with a nice fancy twirl
Is worth every moment and all of the pain
I can already feel as I put everything away
I’m craving and itching to do it again

lol, the struggles of an artist never seem to end, i love this poem, it is emotional and a little crazy, but that is what i love about it, keep it flowing
