Son, take a lesson from under the sun
Swift, young man, the race is not to the swift
Run fast and out of speed you will soon run
Adrift by the wind as ships lost adrift
Strong do not win the fights to become strong
Learning and skill brings no prize than learning
Wrong seems right to fools and right appears wrong
Discern by God's truth to wisely discern
Time and misfortune happen all the time
Be ready, learn from the ant and the bee
Climb just for success then fall from your climb
Free grace paid for by God will set you free
Son, listen all your days under the sun
One thing matters, obey Jesus who won

/Wow
Wow I'm shocked I left a comment last night and I don't know where it went. Oh thank you for this lovely inspiring poem about life and God's words of wisdom through the book of Proverbs inspired from His Word. This is just a beautiful and a differently written poem form in which I've never read. It is very cleaver and interesting. Seems as though it would be hard to write this way. So it is called a Shadow Sonnet Form, gee never have heard of it before. Boy I can tell you I sure do have a lot to learn. This was just brilliant with your beautiful talent to write poetry.
I know my Bryce will enjoy this poem and I know I really did. I read it several times just to see the way in which you wrote it. We shall treasure this poem always. Thank you for thinking of my precious son for his birthday. It hasn't been easy that is for sure. He is a great kid. Best wishes in the contest.
Wishing You Many Blessings
Much Love

Wisdom from the Proverbs in your own paraphrased words....uniquely your own...A good word for Bryce and all the young men in our lives who we love...Something to be found in men of principle...Fearing God, who loves them...Excelllent write...

This is really good! A perfect Shadow sonnet and a fantastic statement of faith. A man is tallest in a woman's eyes when he is on his knees.
