Exhausted finally laying down his head
To drained to find his deserted bed
Just a moment of rest his body seeks
His soul quietly weeps
No sheltered life has been his path
Seldom finding joy rarely to laugh
Praying he was through with pain
Only to have another serpent leave her stain
Solemnly cursing Love
Vowing never to try again
