The path to heaven

Narrower is the path of salvation
we pray for relations with the
great I AM and sometimes we fall
short in the glory of his foot and
hand prints upon our lives.

We would never be perfect, but we
strives to follow his examples through
his word and faith, for he has blessed
us with hope, mercy and forgiveness.

As he cleanse us to be saved in these
last days and times.

We must bow down and pray while
following the things he have said
not just with our heads but from within
our hearts while asking for his guidance
so we don't stray away and lose sight
of the gates of heaven.

The narrow path is the key of spiritually
not the wider gate which leads to a
confused state of illusion.

Which path will you take?

We always fall short of God's glory we will never be good enough for God because He is more wonderful than we can ever be, but He still loves us no matter what.

The first two stanzas depict an appreciation for salvation honoring the God who grants it. The last stanza, however, seems to stray from the poetic form, an attempt to make the poem more "holy" perhaps by including the obvious innuendos of Christianity (prayer, cleansing, etc.). These were not included in the first two stanzas because they were inferred and, hence, unneeded. I know the poem is in yet unfinished and I hope you rework the last stanza. It's a good start for a great poem.

This goes beautifully with the prompt picture. I like your message here. We are not perfect but we shouldn't stop trying to be more like Him. We are a work in progress.
