Stalk along the dusty floor,
Pads landing silenty,
With every step and every breath,
I take
My shoulders hunched,
a night prowler,
Claws extended,
ready to pounce
Night darkness envelops me,
blending my dark fur,
hide ambiguous idenity,
clothed in familiar hands
Keen eyes, pierce the dark,
Ears alert, tension in air,
As I slink around the corners,
Make way through the alleys
Watch out, Stay out,
Black cats bring bad luck,
One comes across your path,
Be ready to fear
Queen of the dark,
sly, sleek, and smooth,
King of the night,
afraid of nothing,
that lurks around him
After nights prowl,
blood on my hands,
A satisfied yowl,
Claims my find
They stay out of my way,
Avoiding my glares,
Don't want to mess with me,
Killer and Slayer of the Night
I look up once more,
see the crescent moon,
shining through cloak of dark
I blend in once more,
to the darkness around me,
slink around the corners,
make way through alleys
What did you think

I do love this poem, and I Love black cats
. I've always wanted one, but I have dogs that chase cats
Anyway, this was a lovely write, great job!

Great, love the descriptions. Very catty, cat-like, cattish, whatever. I'd do something to the ending, no offense but it's not the best. As usual, you overuse your commas a bit, run each stanza in a separate sentence and you'll see what i mean. Good luck in the contest.
