Shadow of Regret

Missing image
conscience is the enemy
trampling on a defeated mind,
hands stained with betrayal
holds regret's emptiness,

when love is taken for a ride
doors are forced open,
leading a soul to walk alone
and apology can not sustain,

in that one weak moment
morality turns a deaf ear,
silently shaming a soul
endlessly...

    a good poem, ah yes the mind can throw shapes at us with feelings if we have those weak moments in love and life.
