I felt it

many years ago

in the fevered throes

of adolescence

as it coursed through

my body and soul

effervescent products of id

that collected, in psyche

that waited for

a source of ignition

to cause intellect to explode

with a fervent

pyroclastic flow

and the volatile catalyst

I speak of is:

poetry.

Your words often explode upon the page and yet at other times they caress it tenderly. A catalyst it might be but we'd be lost without it and your words.

    Love Margaret

Excellent. From title to end line this poem is perfect in my eyes. I could hear the voices of many poets screaming...

So pleased to have read this beauty today. ~Pamela
