The riddle,
we begin to depart
the moment we arrive.
as leaves driven by the wind,
we by our passions fly.
A gentle breeze,
easily inflates,
to gale force passion,
breaking down all gates
We live in such a turbulent time,
passion spent with spendthrift fingers
Hoping we are not unwise,
that passion spent ,will grow and linger

I really like this, I think it has a good story. Because not all poems, have to be long, and I think this has potential.

fragment
hmm, fragment because the contest demanded rhyme, the rest of the poem does not rhyme so it was not appropriate, I felt it had merit to stand alone and I was following the rules the original poem is on my page I will post the full context there
