Flames of innocent purity
smouldered
within a simple heart.
Hopeful that love
and a mere handful of seed
could plant wisely a garden
of life's abundant beauty.
Determinations rugged paths
taught early,
jagged decisions and calloused truths.
Testing the flesh of desire,
and spirit of focused courage.
Until...I..fed the fires of my soul.
Ablaze in beauty,
fearlessly....vulnerably
learning respect
and igniting capabilities
in others and myself.
Not charred or scarred burnt
I sat quietly....
reflecting wise lessons learnt.
Humbled, to still behold
a mere handful of hopeful seed
for a garden of life,
now ready to be planted abundantly.
From the ashes blooms a rose.
Jagged decisions
