car crash kiss
the fingertips
of angels
_[they're made of light]
eyes
turned toward heaven
sing
for the sun
to blind them
the goddess
descends
wrapped
in plum
showered
in deceit
kissed
by the eastern winds
oblivion consumes her
and no one sings her name
lip pressed to lip
it tears through
and
decimates
the splendor of yesteryear
the promise
of yesterday
the rapture
of the lost moment
_[it was made of light]
shackled
adorned
in rags
speckled
in soot
compliant
setting fire
to the wreckage
she stands alone
and no one sings her name
Author notes
"she parted her lips to allow the beast it's freedom; to bring it's venom and terror to the hearts of any who would partake of it, but when she opened her mouth her scream never came - for the beast had eaten her voice"

My favorite part was the third stanza. it was stunning and dark and rich and delicious. It stirred me. I can't quite put my fingers on what moved me, maybe it was the language or the emotion or both but it was so damn powerful. I wish to cradle it with stars.
I love the repeated phrase of "made of light." I thought it was brilliantly tied into your piece and put in wonderful places.
This piece was howling and filled me with a great deal of agony. My chest bones ache, my heart throbs. It's getting harder to breathe but at the same time, in this sad sort of way, it's beautiful.
The quote in your an is lovely too.
