The bile burns the words trapped deep within my throat,
Choking on hatred built up during the span of an entire life time.
That menacing stare haunts my reflection once more.
Staring into glass that I have never seen so charged with anger
It burns my vision.
Twists my being into a senseless state of hysteria.
Reinstating the simple need to claw,
To scream at a world where there always seems to lack a sense of justice.
And where the people that forgive
Are always the first ones lined against the wall
Abused.
Hurt.
Left to our own devices, only to be called to the front line
In this ever-pointless battle of a never ending story
"This ends tonight!"
We were only ever pawns in a game (when you felt like playing it, of course).
But the false love ends when rebellion makes it's entrance.
Twisting. Lying. It all fades away when your life-lines dim to nothingness.
So welcome our blazing sheilds!
Move your hands from our shoulders, and we will try and repair the pieces,
But promises have come to mean nothing.
As we've all been taught so well...

This was a good read. It felt like a teaser for a good book, so descriptive and full of metaphor. Part of me applauds your writting and part of me screams that there isn't more of it!
Thanks for entering.
