Tea, Earl Grey, hot.

Every time I smell earl grey tea...

I think of you, and me
Sitting in your lap,
In front of that tiny TV
Watching Star Trek.

You with your black mug,
The steam rising and embracing your mustache,
You were so warm and snug,
With your Indian skin and our chocolate stash.

I'd look at you with twinkling eyes,
And you'd give me a sip of that tea,
As we watched in awe the Enterprise,
And mouthed along "Beam me up Scotty!"

I'd smile big and then bite my lip,
And you'd tickle me while I screeched,
You'd hold me in the air and I was a space ship,
Then an explosion and back to the screen we'd both be leeched.

There was no one else in the universe
I'd rather spend my life with,
Than you with your whole embrace,
With your scruffy worker's face,
It was unconditional love

Until you left me.
But I still think of you and smile
When someone does the vulcan salute
Or speaks Klingon.
Every time I smell earl grey tea.

Yeah, I miss the good old days =) Irreplaceable. Too bad he's now just a drunken idiot. I love the man he used to be.

I am sorry to hear that El.

Even when things are still good, the memories are always so much better because we remember them as a child remembers.

Nothing is better than a good childhood memory.
