The castle of dreams that died

The sandy dreams of castles keep, running,
Will flow to tide eternal rhythm's grip.
As ebbs recede into sea's salty hold,
I see oceans play tag with nearby land.

A sultry siren sings of sailor's lost
and what is inside locked up treasure chest.
Mesmerized maids string fishtailed combs through hair.
Sea green strands flow gentle in aqua's pulse.

What magic kingdom lies at edge of skies?
What king and queen can rule the endless waves?
I wade to swim the distance lost in haze
To know answers to curious questions posed.

The whales in strongest song can weave a spell
of gentle love and peace through ocean's depths.
As dolphins guide to place that leaves, spellbound,
the heart of bonny child. I stare agape!

The wonders stretch before tear'd face and eyes.
Beguiled, bewitched and breathless I stand on shore.
Island's mist'ries leave me amazed and dazed.
I step on path to seek the way to home!
