Paper Heart

Scissors cut out this delicate gift,
the crayons dance the waltz.
Name inscribed,
her hands place the gift in his.
Not beating,
but alive.
Her eyes match his
her lips quiver as the words build up
"i love you";
as she hands him the paper heart.
