a fall from grace
stilled of heartbeat
placid immortality
cold in deathlike
hibernation
awaits
chrysalis resurrection

I chose at random
and discovered this gem.
The chill, the promise of resurrection---
the premise, so well presented.

When reading
the words seem to take on an almost slow-paced pause and start. This to me gives feeling to the dynamics carefully described. Congrats on the gold. It is well deserved. Frans

Thank you Frans, I truly appreciate your graceous thoughts on this scribble

I love to pen short verses, just to see if I can convey the most impact in as few words as possible. I'm so pleased the freezing effect came across. I should post the pic I used for inspiration
Thanks again! And I'm so honored you've added me to your favorites
Have a wonderful day, many blessings, Sandi

You are good at these winter scenes...using them as symbols, as metaphors. It has just begun and I'm already waiting for that chrysalis resurrection!
"a fall from grace"
I like that, it is a unique way of expressing the seasonal change...also a great way to express my sister Kate's last few years...
No, I don't have a sister Kate.
Definitely Gold worthy.

Thank you! I love nature, it's my favorite topic to write on, an overflow from my brush to canvas.
