It is the dead of winter
Here in the arms of frozen summers,
Whilst I am alive, my emotions do not melt
your being.
Please feel me. Please?
Why? I ask
Do I crave you so? Every little breath I take
Reminds me of what I could have had.
What I have no more.
Someone has replaced me.
You wish more time with them...
The flowers of your devotion no longer grow
In my field.
Hold me? Please?
You are cold.
The sun shines rays of ice- my beating heart
Tells the story of joyless memories.
Frozen in you.
What is there left [for me] to do?
The frozen summers
Become eternal
Without you.
Here in the arms of frozen summers,
Whilst I am alive, my emotions do not melt
your being.
Please feel me. Please?
Why? I ask
Do I crave you so? Every little breath I take
Reminds me of what I could have had.
What I have no more.
Someone has replaced me.
You wish more time with them...
The flowers of your devotion no longer grow
In my field.
Hold me? Please?
You are cold.
The sun shines rays of ice- my beating heart
Tells the story of joyless memories.
Frozen in you.
What is there left [for me] to do?
The frozen summers
Become eternal
Without you.
Author notes
It is the dead of winter here in the arms of frozen summers. (Genius line there!)
The idea behind the form is that I'm (the pleas) are/is surrounded by the frozen words of reality.
If you see it....

How creative, this is really a lovely take on the prompt! You did a very nice job of weaving the theme of the initial line through your entire piece. Wonderfully written, thanks for entering!
