tear at the door of this moving dream
yet all remains the same.
A desert gets blustery with speed addiction
and imagines its dunes to be walking gods.
Look at the hammer of God melting in supplication
at the feet of Ra.
Did you see the hammer melt in its effeminate way,
did you glory when it succumbed to the Abba tunes
ripping through its haze of ecstasy?
The road contracts with the pain of discovery.
What right has it got to show the way
when the music of life booms through it
when the music of life erodes its foundation?
God and Ra play in the glare of distraction.
All are one, just different aspects
of a road filled with photo ops and Abba dreams.

A very interesting look at the music industry. The addition of gods is really unique and it goes strangely well.
"The road contracts with the pain of discovery." is an excellent line indeed.
Very intriguing work- thanks for sharing!

An excellent piece of creative and insightful writing here...imagery and symbolisms used so very well...iconic fifures things that give an instant sense of meaning to so many...this is wonderful poetry...PK...

Thank you so much. It took me all of five minutes to write but I felt inspired. I am glad it touched you since I love it although I seemed to have missed the 60 word limit - sheesh I did not read all the rules.

You know what Bear, I completely spaced the 60 words rule! I do not hate you at all, I am stunned that I spaced that rule. I loves ya! Thanks though for giving me good feedback! Hugs!
