On A Cold winter’s night in Bethlehem
A young couple with child found no room at the Inn
Tired and weary from travel afar
They took rest in a stable, neath light of a star
The Christ child was born in a manger of hay
For this was the first, known as Christmas day
Angels on high sent the shepherds to see
They bowed down in praise to their newborn King
From the East came three Wise men
Bearing gifts it was told
Frankincense, Myrrh, and pieces of Gold
The gifts although rich could not compare
To the gift that was sent to the people everywhere
Born in a manger on a cold winter’s night
God’s gift was our Savior, his son Jesus Christ
The greatest gift was his love and everlasting life
Through a child born on this...
