Me and my pet rooster rise at dawn
He with a raucous ear shattering crow
Me with a timid, tired, prolonged yawn
He has to stop, I have told him so
If he does not stop soon, you can bet
Something very dire I will do
I will forget that he is my pet
And dine with pleasure on rooster stew

My 5 yr old grandson heard a rooster crow for the first time visiting with me, he was elated, beautiful experience for me to see...my heart skipped several beats...mary...love your poem...

This made me remember an old rooster that would crow as I walked by in the early mornings. His call was strange, strangled and painful, reminding me that 'coq au vin' was prepared from old roosters. I hope yours tastes good!

Bill, derived from William, comes from the Germinic elements 'Wil' (will, desire) and 'Helm' (helmet, protection)....
This made me remember an old Saturday Night Live skit with Mike Myers tied to a jungle gym, frikken hilarious...(the hyper hypo kid)
But ultimately through further research I found a comical term associated with William, I'm sure you've heard of it.....anyways.
