it threatened
really it did
i guess
i just didn't listen
but now its gone
for how long
no one knows
packed its bag
closed the door
and gone
i hope its only
a short break
i hope it doesn't stay away too long
hopefully soon
it'll return
with stories to tell
and rhymes to add
for you see
my muse has left me

Oh now it has not, your muse is being silly and testing your resolve, count to 20 and start looking, first under the couch and then behind the door once you find it I am sure it will have many a great tall tale to tell.
