Perched at ocean’s edge
they wait
weathering many a violent storm together
this faded red door
coloured hues of a heart left waiting
feet planted in the sand
awaiting homecoming
of love long lost at sea

This says volumes in so few lines,
an achievment any poet should be proud of

Just got caught up in this, seems like a well-played game of dominoes...

-
So lonely a wait that sounds like sis! Wonderfully done for that pic.. you always see beyond the picture and paint us amazing stories!

-
I do find myself at a loss for words when I read yours... either that or I am repeating myself in say "wow" and "awesome" but you are. and this is. Your words touch my heart.

-
Oh this has such a sad quality about it. Your words match the loneliness of that red door, jst standing there alone.
All the best with this
