Symptom of a mannerless world
pranksters showing disrespect.
Common courtesy disregarded,
considered useless in the midst
of violent children,
mass murderers,
starving countries,
women treated worse
than animals.
A thought I share with you now:
perhaps if we reinstated manners
some of the bitter dregs
currently swilling
in our universal coffee
would fade away,
maybe even disappear.
Maybe, just maybe.

There's a lot going on here and some abstract, ambiguous bits which I like a lot.
Not sure about the "women being treated worse than animals" bit, though- sounds a bit overly emotive. Why not just men and women? or people?

As to that one line, it refers specifically to the women of some countries that are still viewed as property and less.It was intended to be as emotive as the rest, perhaps I need to make them more so?
